Description of the Video

This is another one of my profile videos, this one focusing on the sultry and mysterious Mouse. It's about 1/3 toward a first draft.

If You Are New To ReBoot

Mouse is one of the heroes of the show, although more self-interested at least on the surface. She's flirty and disarming but capable and ruthless when necessary.

The Making of the Video

First of all, yes I know I misspelled "Irresistible" in the title card. I just hate typos in released products and I'm very embarrassed...but not enough to do another render.

Way back when I first got into videos, this was one of my earliest ideas. In fact it was the second one I started. However it kept getting put on the back burner and now it's never going to get finished.

I originally was going to use "Bitch" for Mouse but found it better for Dot. I considered several songs, but that "swish-clang" made this song perfect for someone with a sword.

The shots for this video mostly revolved around sound effects: the "swish-clang", the "bam-bam", and the little explosions. I had trouble finding enough sword shots. Although I'm happy with most of them, the one of her hacking off Gigabyte's arm really doesn't work and I would probably have tried something else. The video gets jerky when she is fighting Megabyte's tentacles because I was trying to freeze and speed up the video in response to the music. I never got it to work as you can see.

The infamous shots of Mouse's, um, hips was originally in the fade in at the beginning, but it works much better with "She gives me feelings that I've never felt before".

The three "kissable" shots were lucky - I was able to find only three kissing shots in the whole series. I was trying unsuccessfully to find two more group shots to fit "Our lives are indivisible" when I last worked on this.

As you can see, I didn't get very far. It's about 65-70% blank spots and my last notes are from August 2004. It was always in the back of my mind but I never got back to it.
